As you know we are not having our Make A Wish tournament this year.  But if you would like to support Make A Wish anyway you can!  There is a wine tasting event, (there is also a beer station) on Oct. 12, 2010 at the Arena Bar on Coal street.  Wine/beer tasting, hour'derves, live music. Tickets are $50 per person advance tickets only.  The bar will be closed to the public.  There will also be a cash bar available for other drinks.  There will also be a silent auction.  For more information click on the picture.   We are currently looking for sponsors and donations for the auction or any cash donations.  Any items for the auction would be appreciated.  Gift certificates,  baskets,  etc.  Any questions/donations call Norm.

THE 2010 CHAMPIONSHIP FUND IS UP TO $1093.00 AS OF Sept 1st.   Plus the $300 + entrance fee would be over $1393.00  THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY SEPT. 26TH.   HIGH WATER DATE OCT. 3RD.   $10 per angler entrance, $5 lunker.  3 fish, 15" per angler.   Times to be determined.           Championship ideas floated:     3 fish per angler 1 MUST be 15" the other 2 would be a 12" minimum BUT you MUST have a 15" fish to weigh in.. You could not weigh the 12" fish without a 15" fish.   A "junk fish" pool. $5 per angler bring the biggest NON-BASS fish you catch to the scale.  biggest by weight wins the pool.   How many hours do you want to fish for the championship?  The last season tourney is next week Sept. 8th.  Bring your ideas we will decide on the final rules for the championship.

ANGLER OF THE YEAR.  Prize money is up to $484.00 as of Sept 1st.  The angler that finishes the Wednesday night series with the most accumulated points will win the first annual Suskie Bassmaster Angler of the Year Award.  One dollar of each anglers entrance fee for each week will go to the cash award.  Based on 2009 participation it would be $648.00 

     The 2010 pool is up to $275.00 as of August 4th.   Nick Giambruno  is the new leader with the 3.00 lb. weighed in on August 4th.   Biggest bass weighed in for the season on the Wednesday Night Series.  A one time $5 entrance fee is charged at the first tournament that you fish.  This is a 100% payback pool.   This change was voted on by members at the Feb 1 meeting.

                                            Small Bass Pool.  This is an optional weekly pool.  The smallest bass weighed in each week wins the pot for the week.  $5 per angler. 2010 small bass pool is averaging approx. $108 per week.    REMEMBER.... THE STATE LEGAL LIMIT BASS IS 12 INCHES.  THAT MEANS YOU CANNOT POSSESS ANY BASS UNDER 12 INCHES.  IF YOU DO YOU ARE SUBJECT TO BE CITED BY THE PA FISH AND BOAT OFFICERS.
